Math is a tool for success, not to frighten people.

During my years at MSU, I tutored for the math department both in their help lab and as one of their recommended private tutors. Also during my final year working toward my degree I worked at Sylvan teaching children from 2nd grade through 12th. During the summer of 2013, I had the opportunity to work toward a teacher certification by volunteering at Hirschi High School. After attaining my degree, I began working at Mathnasium. In Chicago, I served as the director of training for two years. Now that I am back in Wichita Falls, I am the assistant director of the local branch of Mathnasium. My teaching style involves getting to know the student as a person first and going from there. Learning how he/she learns something new and what he/she knows and doesn't know quite yet. Every child is different in the way that he/she learns and a person how to figure that out first for a child to be successful.
