Math is a tool for success, not to frighten people.

With the experiences of Sylvan, Mathnasium, and High School lessons under my belt, I have combined the best aspects that each has to offer. Rather than holding a student's hand through a lesson and letting them develop a learned helplessness that can add to test anxiety, I use Socratic questioning to help people make important conclusions about topics so that they retain what they are seeing. At my last job I helped tutor students and get them ready for test and quizzes etc. I enjoy working with kids I can't think of anything better to do with my time.
My teaching style involves getting to know the student as a person first and going from there. Learning how he/she learns something new and what he/she knows and doesn't know quite yet. A Little Bit About Me...

Currently, I have been teaching Emergency Medicine to help Reynolds Army Community Hospital maintain 100% proficiency in job qualifications and standards. This includes slides and instructor led courses. I have taught in English in a School to a classroom size of about 30 students in Korea for about 6 months.
