Motivated to help struggling students find love of learning

I have over 15 semesters of college courses most in the sciences. I find math and science to come easy to me if I am taught it in the right way and I would love to share that with struggling students out there. I have had experience in big and small schools, accelerated programs as well as normal classrooms so I have been exposed to a variety of learning environments.
I love to teach and coach and think it is important to understand that everyone learns and grasps concepts in different ways. I do not have a specific teaching style other than positive because each child requires their own approach.

Since my sophomore year of college, I have been tutoring students in mathematics, physics, and chemistry in both college and high school. I have also since been involved with biomechanical research at Des Moines University, where I currently work during the school year and summers, which involves application of several areas of science, teaching laboratory techniques, and giving presentations on completed research. I really enjoy getting people of all ages to learn. My day job is with Easter Seals where I work with all ages and disabilities.
