I have tutored many people in several subjects over the years and find the work fulfilling. I recently have graduated out of the education system and am well aware of what it takes to succeed. I now have a BA in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate and on the way to earning these degrees I successfully passed some of the worlds most difficult tests on the first attempt. I've worked as an addiction tech, juvenile court officer, volunteered at Girls, Inc., an obituary writer, and a freelance writer. In each of those positions, at many a time, I had to assist someone with writing. My mom was a K-8 grade teacher, as were all of my aunts, so it runs in the family. All of them were English Majors. I just chose to write as a career instead of teach. But throughout my different job experiences, I've had to assist others with their writing needs. It can be as simple as telling them what they need for something, as in an obituary, to as detailed as helping them build a business plan. Normally I would have them write something and then we would look at their work together and discuss how we could improve it. As a graduate of the University of Phoenix and an experienced accountant, I am knowledgeable in the accounting process and principles required in business. I am proficient in verbal and written communications and was fortunate to have several of my college papers used as examples with which other students could learn proper formal writing techniques. I have supervised accounting staff for 15 years and am a patient and encouraging coach.
