Experience Summary
As a graduate of the University of Phoenix and an experienced accountant, I am knowledgeable in the accounting process and principles required in business. I am proficient in verbal and written communications and was fortunate to have several of my college papers used as examples with which other students could learn proper formal writing techniques. I have supervised accounting staff for 15 years and am a patient and encouraging coach. My goal is not to just teach the answers, but to teach students how to think and process information on their own.
Teaching Style
I believe the best way of learning is doing. To that end, I seek to help the student understand what is needed in a given situation and then teach the steps to achieving the goal. My teaching/learning environment is free from fear of failure, relaxed, and fun. The student will have the opportunity to ask questions, follow instructions, and then teach the teacher what he or she has learned.
