A Little Bit About Me...

I started teaching while in college; I worked as a Teaching Assistant when school was in session (teaching college students) and as a camp counselor at a French immersion camp in the summers. This allowed me to work with students ages 8-22 and to develop different teaching styles for different ages. I am currently writing my PhD thesis; although the subject is Francophone, I'm writing in English and feel that I have strong writing skills and the ability to teach them. I've taught English to non-native speakers in France as an "English assistant" as well as in the US as an ESL tutor. As a graduate of the University of Maryland I had a desire to teach and help others in learning. With a BA in English Language and Literature with a concentration on ESL and an M.Ed. in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), I gained the skills and knowledge necessary in achieving my goals.
