English ESOL is one of my top subjects! I have 2 years of real-world ESOL teaching experience in Japan, where I not only taught at public schools, but gave private lessons to adult students.

I have two years of experience teaching and tutoring ESOL in Japan, in both classroom environments and in private one-on-one sessions. The age groups I have taught range from 1st graders in elementary school, to adult factory workers. I also have two-three years of experience tutoring college-level students in Japanese.
I have a very strong passion for education and feel it is of utmost importance in this world. Given that, I always try my best to explain to students how what they are learning matters, and equip them with the tools they need to succeed on their own. At Adult Basic and Literature Education, I serve as a math and grammar tutor in the GED and ESOL programs. Also, I assist the students on how to obtain basic computer techniques so that they can operate the computer. I am able to communicate with Spanish-speaking students and read French. As for my technical, web designing, and software knowledge, I have a background in computer troubleshooting, Adobe Photoshop, HMTL, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etcetera. For five years, I was a substitute teacher for grades K-5 in English as a Second Language, Special Education and Art classes. I work with each student in the way that is best for their particular learning styles. I prefer a laid-back approach to learning, allowing students to understand at their own pace and make connection on their own. This does not mean, however, that I do not have high expectations for my students.
I hold two bachelor degrees, a BA in French Language and Literature and a BS in Microbiology. I also have a certificate in African Studies and a minor in Chemistry.
