A Little Bit About Me...

Gaining and sharing knowledge has been a driving force throughout my life. Literacy is one of the greatest gifts we can give to our children. Having taught grade levels from preschool to adulthood, I know that everyone learns in their own unique manner and at their own time. My experiences span not only various age groups but different subjects as well,including math, algebra, biology, history, literature, Spanish, grammar, reading/phonics, study skills, and beginning dance. I simply ADORE teaching, either children or adults. The 4th, 5th & 6th graders I taught in Lebanon Christian school loved and learned from me. As I said above, I emphasize the art of dialogue, which includes above all else, active listening to, and deep respect for, the other person in the dialogue. I am very down to earth and like to take things seriously. I think most people respond the best to positive reinforcement; however, I know how to be serious. I am very good at explaining things because I like to have things explained to me in detail. I am very professional and polite and am good at making people feel comfortable around me. For me, education is very important and it is important to stay on top of the game. In order to do this you need to make it enjoyable for the student by giving them realistic goals, positive feedback and meaningful explanations.
