I try to encourage the class by carefully organizing my lectures. I would characterize my teaching style as relationally oriented. I want the student to know that I care about him or her. Hands on, real world examples are the most effective when learning mathematics. It is very important to understand the theory behind what is calculated, in order to understand what is being done.
