I am a freshman at Missouri southern. Math is my favorite course hands down. Its not very difficult for me. I would prefer to tutor elementary and junior high students, but will also work with highschool kids too. I am majoring in physical education so this really could help me out in my field. Helping Dispel the Fear of Math

I use a variety of methods such as graphically (visual), practice examples (tactile, repetition), repeating the rules/methods (aural) and occasional humor to help things stick!
I recently moved here from California. I have tutored fellow students in high school in Rhode Island, a child, grandchildren, and also tutored folks in California ranging in age from 13-30 in all types of math during the last ten years. Though I do not have a certificate, I plan on getting a temporary certificate in the next few months.

I like to work with children of all types. I think that anybody has the capability to learn if they really want to. Everybody learns in a different way and I am willing to work with them any way I can. I am very patient, laid back, and willing to try new ways to help children accomplish their goals. A teacher is their to help them learn and lift their spirits in times of frustration and show them a different approach to the problem.
