While partaking in this course, I took a variety of courses relating to music including music theory, music history, and applied studies (lessons) on my instrument, which was trombone. After graduating from college, I served in Americorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) for two years. Americorps NCCC is a community service organization for young adults between the ages of 18 and 24. The projects that Corps members do fall into the categories of environmental stewardship, education, disaster relief, and infrastructure improvement. I served as a Corps member in the southwestern region of the United States. Interactive, Lecture, Structured, Laid Back. Whatever is necessary; nobody learns the same way.
Through my life I have excelled in the subject of music. I am fortunate enough to have studied with great private instructors and professors, and am seasoned going on 5 years of teaching in the public school setting. As a high school instructor, I have 5 Choral ensembles in addition to my management of the Choral Department and courses of piano and American Contemporary Music.
