My comments on tutoring Drawing : Depends on the type of drawing, willing to look into helping with new drawing interests

All through out Junior High School I did tutoring in math, science and English. I also volunteered to help the Mentally disabled kids in my school, I helped these kids by taking walks, playing games and reading to them. In High School, I was privileged to travel to Ireland with thee Biotech Academy and we taught 9 schools in 3 days about hands on Biotech activities such as teaching them about DNA using bracelets to show them what it would look like.

College student looking to pursue growth in you and herself

I have experience in and outside of the classroom in all of the fields I listed. From a 4.0 G.P.A to sales office growth I have learned a lot and am eager to share my experience in order to help others. English is and will always be my favorite subject. I have done speech writing and presenting to essay competitions. God blessed me with a way with words and I have used it to excel in many areas of my life.
My teaching style all depends on the subject and the student. Everyone learns differently. Unfortunately, the public school system seems to disagree with that. I begin by assessing the type of learner you are and from there I pick my teaching style.

I have always had a heart to help others become the best that they can be. For the last 2 1/2 years, I have been taking in troubled teens into my home and being directly involved in coaching them to turn their lives around. I was rigorously trained with hands on experience in the Parenting Workshop Institute, and now am not only a life coach to youth, but to their parents as well. I have been trained to learn and work with all personality styles and to coach others how to get along, tolerate, and understand other personality styles with patience, kindness and love.
Because I had such a hard time learning and focusing in a regimented, institutional-type learning setting in school, and yet was a brilliant child, I teach extremely well in a relational more relaxed approach. Rather than "shove information down throats" I am interested in each individual, and to get to know their perso ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I obtained a MS and BS in botany following 10 years of managing retail houseplant greenhouses. I have basic knowledge in a variety of sciences, and i particularly enjoy algebra and trigenometry. I have taught Botany in the capacity of teaching assistant and adjunct instructor at local community colleges and universities. Part of my teaching style involves being available to tutor students, and to offer extra study sessions for exams. I believe i could excellently tutor students in English, math, and sciences.
My experience is in teaching students at the college freshman level, but i also have mentored interns. My teaching style is a combination of hands on, sort of leading a student through a concept or process. I am an energetic, anecdotal, results-oriented type of teacher, and enjoy helping a student to become adept at problem-solving, or creative expression. Some of my mo ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I strive to make the learning experience something that the student is eager to repeat. I want every student to feel comfortable, confident and capable of achieving huge success because of the skills they have personally learned. I feel that students learn well when they see the subject matter in the context of life and realize that the knowledge they are learning can be applied to reality. I value the involvement of sensory learning so that the student participates in an experience and is not just memorizing random facts. My strongest belief is that all students deserve to be treated with dignity and with absolute respect for their potential.
I have always found the learning process fascinating and feel that there is nothing more satisfying than helping someone master a new skill. I have observed that a good teacher can change lives and make the learning process a positive and emp ... read more

More About This Tutor...

Besides family, faith, and good health, there is nothing I value more than my education. As a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, I have earned a bachelor degree in Science-Business. This new field incorporates the work of a Biology major with the fundamental requirements of a Business major. I am now in the process of applying to dental school, thus have extensive experience with essays and standardized tests. Throughout my academic career I have meticulously planned, prepared, and executed a plan for success.
As a life long athlete, I understand the importance of a team. Parents, tutors, and children must work together to succeed. I also realize the importance of strategy; each team has a different method to achieve their goal. Be it verbal, visual, audial, physical, there are multitudes of different ways to have success inside and outside of the classroom. My personal succ ... read more

More About This Tutor...

I have been teaching and tutoring students for over 10 years. I teach students up to grade 12. I have been working in Canada as a tutor and worked with dyslexic students as well. I taught math and excelled myself with a high gpa up to grade 12.
I always try to ask the student what they think they are weak in. Always try to change the teaching method so that the student does not fall in a routine every session. They sometimes decide on doing, for example, in math, inventing their own equation and participating in their own learning.

A Little Bit About Me...

Every student is different so my teaching style consists of learning about the student and speaking with them from a common/relational level.I have been very fortunate to have been taught and trained by the best in the field and would like to share this knowledge.
As a communication design and illustration major, I studied technique and process from one of the best institutions in the field. I am also working towards an Associate of Science degree in Web Design and Digital Media to further my knowledge. I do not have experience training on an education level, but I do have years of experience training artists as an art director for Hiro Yamagata Studios in Los Angeles , California and the Museum of Flying/DC3 Restaurant in Santa Monica , California.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a very patient and understanding young lady. I love working with people, and helping them to feel better and more confident about accomplishing their goals. Since I am considerate of others, I take into account whatever it is they will need in order to advance their education. As a student myself, I found that I wanted to put in extra effort to learn a subject whenever I had a wonderful and patient instructor who made learning engaging and fun.
As a graduate from Cochise College in Sierra Vista, I was a T.A for two years at Center for Academic Success High School (I have a finger-print clearance card). I worked with high-risk teenagers, helped keep them encouraged, and was extremely attentive to their needs. I excelled in helping them with Language Arts and English. In addition to my two AA degrees, I have completed a BA degree in English, with a minor in Theatre.
