A Little Bit About Me...

Personally, I love to learn, and this drive within myself helps me to communicate my passion for education to my students. I have worked with children from age 5 through college age, and I understand the importance of creativity and individualized attention. I believe all students should have the opportunity and resources to succeed. My goal for working as a tutor would be to provide them with these tools and to help them in their own pursuit of knowledge.

I love teaching! I'm a people person who enjoys working with all kinds of people. I have a bachelor's degree in Drama, a music minor, and a Master's degree in English education. I have 7 years' experience teaching English at the college level. I also wrote entertainment articles for a local magazine for 4 years, and I have a book published. I have spent several years as a student and tutor at the university level. I am planning to enter medical school in the Fall of 2012 and as such have developed a strong foundation in the sciences throughout my undergraduate education. Although I majored in Biology, my true passion is Chemistry. I spent 2 years on a religious service mission where I became fluent in Spanish. I am fascinated by the ability to communicate with an entirely new group of people. I learned Spanish by being immersed in the culture and have since studied Spanish at the university level in order to understand the "rules" behind speaking the language.
