I fundamentally believe anyone can learn. If a student isn’t grasping a concept, it just means I have to change my style of teaching. So what is my teaching style…anything that helps a student achieve his or her potential. But the one thing I teach all my students is how to find their learning style. Once you know how you retain information you can do anything.

As an undergraduate at MIT, I have a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, and have complete master of those taught at the high school level. I have also completed several advanced courses in chemistry, biology, and physics, but am still young enough to remember the techniques I used to learn those subjects when I myself was a high school student. I have prepared many students (privately) for final exams in biology, geometry, and algebra.
I have a knack for creating analogies and mechanisms to help students remember things for exams, as well as strategies and ways of thinking that may be a little different than what was taught in class (but still gets them to the final result). Being proficient at math is similar to being proficient at playing a musical instrument. You can’t learn to play an instrument by going to concerts and watching other people perform.
