My comments on tutoring Literature : Literature includes all of the wonderful genres of literature. Students need to be exposed to the best of them in order to appreciate them and analyze them.

I believe that all students can learn to read and write with an approach individualized for each learner regardless of the age.

About a year ago I moved back to Texas from San Diego, where I earned my MA in English and spent several semesters teaching a variety of writing courses at area community colleges, as well as at San Diego State University.
