I obtained my BA in Social Work and have worked in that field since 1993. In 2005 I began a part time job as an Adult Education instructor for Sentinel Career Center where my primary focus was language arts/writing. I was part of the STAR reading program where I became certified to teach adults to read. In this program and as a GED instructor I have tutored many individuals of varying ages, education levels and backgrounds. In my work as a social worker, I work primarily with children with mental health issues/learning disabilities where the focus is on behavior, organizational,study and communication skills and parenting education.

I have received degrees in Int'l Business from Lourdes College, as well an Associates Degree in Accounting from Owens Community College. While with the Ohio Air National Guard, participated in the Mentoring program with Township Elementary, Swanton Local Schools for five(5)-years. I enjoyed working with the students, helping those that needed a little extra attention. I enjoy reading, writing, learning new words, learning period. I started tutoring in 7th grade back in 1976. I have been tutoring my own kids for over 14 years. I have been a Scout leader for over 9 years. I worked with boys ages 5 to 18 years of age. I have brought 2 learning disabled teens into my home to help them graduate High School. Both have gone on to be Certified Welders. I have presided over the Parental Acceptance Committee for both Fremont and all five of WSOS HeadStart Counties and all the centers in the School Districts of those counties.
