I teach with a focus on self exploration plus knowledge of natural forms. In other words, I encourage students to express themselves in their own unique way, yet I teach all the natural forms, including fauna and flora, perspective and the human form, by drawing examples. I help students master the ability to draw what they see, encouraging composition, color, shading and personal style. I have taught art to students since 1981. High school students have been my assistants through the summer youth employment program, for 3 NYC public mural projects. I have taught as an artist-in the-schools since 1985, teaching grammar school students printmaking and mural making, both in Brooklyn NY and in the Hudson Valley.
