Without comprehension, there is no way to apply what one learns through reading. Very relaxed and encouraging. I use quite a bit of discussion, and I like to ask students questions that lead them down the path to help them discover the answers they seek. I have found that information is better retained if one can guide the student to the conclusion that they seek, building upon the knowledge that is already there. I have been a substitute teacher for the last 7 years at Groesbeck ISD working mainly with the high school area, and some at the middle school. I also teach an adult student at a local plant working on his GED. I am the primary instructor there. I write for several online freelance article sites and am paid to do that as well. I have passed my EC-12 Special Education test and also my Generalist 4-8 and am considered Highly Qualified in those 2 areas.
