If you don't like the results, I haven't done my job.

All I do is tend to my students needs. I'm personal. Like to get off track with my students and lead them back to the point.
I won the state championship in the 100 meters and went to Adams State College in Alamosa CO. Broke a leg in track and received withdrawn F across the board. Left college and healed up. Went to the Army two years and reserve three years. Came back and picked up the quickest degree possiable. Moved to Hawwaii, three years. Became a ciritified dept of defense government contractor. Furnish and deliver contracts. Ended up moving back home to Albuquerque NM. I started working in the Indian Casinos for 13 years. I bought a house and retired. But now I'm tired of sitting around.

My comments on tutoring Genetics : I took this course during my undergraduate studies at UCSD, receiving an A in the course.

First, I begin by answering any questions a student has about the material they are learning. Once all questions are answered, I usually like to engage students in active learning by providing a worksheet for them in order to test where a students strengths/weaknesses are in regards to particular subject. Lastly, I usually finish off with review of important concepts about the material (especially concepts that students have the most difficulty with) in hopes to clarify the concepts/ideas of the subject.

I am personally, a visual learner. I try to teach or tutor students in this way as well. My approach to tutoring is that all students want to learn, even if they act otherwise. It is my job to make the subject more relevant, interesting and understandable for them. I assume everyone is capable of learning the material and try different ways of introducing and reinforcing information until it sinks in.
