Elementary Science Tutors & Teachers for Lessons, Instruction or Help in Elmer, OK

Currently, I have been teaching Emergency Medicine to help Reynolds Army Community Hospital maintain 100% proficiency in job qualifications and standards. This includes slides and instructor led courses. I have taught in English in a School to a classroom size of about 30 students in Korea for about 6 months. This required me to make lesson plans and activities and a positive learning environment. At the same time I tutored students in English in a local orphanage. I taught and instructed fellow technicians about one year to increase yield productions in a manufacturing environment. Currently volunteering to tutor student in a program called Army Program Lawton Area Schools and I have also done this in the past but a program called Helping One Child Succeed Today. I have eight years of experience in teachig GED and ESL classes in adult correctional facilities. My BA (cum laude) and my MA are both in History; I am certified in Texas to teach History (6-12), Composite Social Studies (6-12), English (6-12), English Language Arts (6-12), English as a Second Language (EC=12), Reading (6-12), Generic Special Education (PK-12}, and I am an EC-4 Generalist.

My teaching style involves getting to know the student as a person first and going from there. Learning how he/she learns something new and what he/she knows and doesn't know quite yet. Every child is different in the way that he/she learns and a person how to figure that out first for a child to be successful. I tutored elementary students while in high school. I am now an Education major at Midwestern State University and I will graduate in May of 2010. At my last job I helped tutor students and get them ready for test and quizzes etc. I enjoy working with kids I can't think of anything better to do with my time.

I graduated in 2006 summa cum-laude from Midwestern State University with a 4.0 grade average, majoring in Biology and minoring in English. I have a detailed academic understanding of both chemistry and biology on many levels. Additionally, writing dozens of papers for both scientific and humanities courses has given me essential grammatical skills necessary for writing higher level essays. Since I graduated I have tutored math, science, English, and writing in the Wichita Falls public school system and for a private tutoring company. I enjoy teaching and working with children.
