I am currently enrolled at Charleston Southern University. I am majoring in Early Childhood Education. Taking these classes has helped me understand students and their different learning needs so much more. During the last six years I have tutored students in all subjects and ranging in all grade levels. All children are unique in their own way. They each have different learning styles. I am a very patient person. I strive to help each child succeed in every aspect of their education. There are students that need to see things written down and I am able to do that. I first started to study music when I was 11 years old. I grew a love for the clarinet and played for many years in middle school and high school. In college, I majored in clarinet and also studied all wind/percussion instruments as well as piano. I obtained my BA instrumental teaching degree (K-12) through Western Carolina University in June of 2003. Through the years, I have had the privilage and pleasure of teaching band in a classroom setting, marching band, and private lessons.
