I have been teaching piano and voice for almost 15 years. I started at the age of 5 taking piano lessons and the age of 12 with voice. I majored in musical performance in college, but left early to pursue a career in a Broadway Touring Company of Les Miz. From 1996-2014 I've been a professional singer and actor in many different shows and venues. I have 3 children and have been married for 10 years. I love working with people to build confidence.

Perfect practice makes perfect.

I started playing music when i was ten years old, and have continued my knowledge and talent ever since. I can currently play twelve instruments at at-least a basic level, four of those twelve at an experienced level, and two at a highly advanced level. In high school i made All-Region twice, and All-State once, placing Second Band, Third Chair, and ninth best in the state on tuba after just a year and a half of playing the instrument. I continued on to college at the University of Central Arkansas, where I was lucky to get to study with Christian Carichner as a tuba student. However, before the end of my first year i dropped out of college to begin my family, in hopes of returning to college for my music education in the near future.

From a love of nature, I pursued a career in the life sciences, majoring in Biology as an undergraduate and exploring the plant sciences in graduate school. An interest in the organization of chromosomes led to work with a small soil nematode. I studied gene expression, energy metabolism, and immune responses in a long-lived stage of this little worm. I began teaching private guitar, bass, and music theory lessons when I was 16 years old. I have continued to do so until present day. My emphasis for my Masters was Theory/Composition/Arranging. My primary instruments are guitar and bass, although I went to college on a French Horn scholarship. As a working professional, I was driven later in life to get a degree that was started right after high school. I initially had 90 course hours towards a Social Work degree, and when I returned changed it to business. I have a BS in Business Management, and I only have one class left to get my Masters(MBA).
