While in New York, I worked for two years as a teacher of Science at a Junior High school in the Bronx. There I was awarded "Rookie-Teacher-of-the-Year." For one year, I also tutored after school to earn extra money. I have also taught in California and Santa Fe, NM. My passion is to be an International speaker on the topics of Metaphysics and Spirituality. I believe it is best to offer guidance, and allow the student to go through the process of discovery. Things learned independently are much more prized and valuable. Of course, one cannot let them flounder too long so that discouragement sets in. Having earned a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from one of the top statistics schools in the country, I not only know the mathematics behind statistical theory - I have applied statistics in a wide variety of research settings. My teaching style is unique to each student due to the fact that everyone learns in different ways. I do stay consistent in coaching through how to problem solve because I don’t want my students to become dependent upon me. At San Juan College I work with students who have struggle with math and most of which lack confidence in their ability to succeed in the subject.
