My comments on tutoring American History : I took AP U. S. History last year.

I admittedly have little experience, but I have helped Friends with school work in the past. I've proofread for friends and helped them study for tests in lower level classes. I have been a tutor for 23 years and I have taught Adult Basic Education for 12 years. I am still continuing my education to receive a Masters degree and plan to get my PhD. I work for a community college and have done advising, enrollment, testing, phone directory, and student sevices. I have attended many professional development workshops on education.
Critical thinking skills and untraditional ways are what I focus on. However the way someone learns, I will try to set the individual up to show how they learn and work with them. I also am enrolled in the Graduate program at Lourdes to receive my endorsement to teach K-12 Reading.
