Hard work and dedication have paved the way for my upcoming graduation at Ferrum College. I am a double major in Accounting and Finance, which gives me some experience in tutoring both. Along with the many projects I have done in both subjects, I have been able to volunteer as a tax preparer for economically disadvantaged families and for the past two years I have had the honor of tutoring Accounting. My tutoring experience has mainly been with college students which I have become very fond of doing. I look to this an advantage because I believe it makes me better able to work with high school students since the high school students will learn at a slower pace than most college students. I have a long history of tutoring experience along with substitute teaching at The Baylor School in Chattanooga from 2000 until 2008 and prior to that at various private homes for 2 years. I have a BA degree in Economics/International Studies/French from the University of TN – Chattanooga, a certificate in French from the Sorbonne in Paris and 23 hours in English from Arizona State University. I also have graduate work in non-profit management with a concentration in fundraising. Most of my tutoring experience is with high school students and lies in French, writing skills, and general life/study skills for boarding students.
