A Little Bit About Me...

My tutoring experience has mainly been with college students which I have become very fond of doing. I look to this an advantage because I believe it makes me better able to work with high school students since the high school students will learn at a slower pace than most college students. I am a patient person and I know that by pacing yourself a person can learn much better. I love for people to ask questions when I tutor because this lets me know they want to learn and I can better help them.
Hard work and dedication have paved the way for my upcoming graduation at Ferrum College. I am a double major in Accounting and Finance, which gives me some experience in tutoring both. I try to find the best way to relate the given information to the student. Not everyone learns the same way. I will find what makes the most sense to the student and help them understand the given information. Throughout my education, I sometimes just wanted a different approach to the information. I would ask others their opionions and things all of a sudden were clear. That is what I want for my students.
I have been involved in tutoring many of my peers throughout high school and college. I find it very rewarding to help others succeed in their education. Many of my peers just needed a different way to have the information presented to them. They needed to be outside of the classroom. They needed to feel comfortable. I gave them all those things as well as encouragement.
