As a child I loved to read and write. In High School I took the AP exams for both English Language and English Composition, scoring a 4 and a 5. It was a natural choice for me to major in English when I started my college career. While working on my degree I already knew I wanted to teach, so I began tutoring. I tutored two Korean families over two years, helping the children (ages 9, 12, 14, & 15), with their school subjects, and with their English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, comprehension, and writing skills. To me, learning is best exemplified by an engaged and interested student asking informed and critical questions of the material assigned.
