I believe that a genuine interest makes the strongest foundation for education. Creativity and a sense of serious play clan create interest in "boring" subjects. A handful of wonderful marbles will draw the attention of children and adults with simple beauty and color. They can also be used to demonstrate important lessons in physics and probability. In fact, math and science exist primarily outside the confines of books. If the student can replace the textbook problem with inquisitiveness and interest, better learning will occur.
