Not all people learn in the same manner. It's important to recognize clues that identify preferred learning styles and incorporate lesson plans accordingly. I believe in breaking things into its simplest form using analogies to help with learning and retention. I believe it is not only important to teach the curriculum, but to also relate the benefits of learning into (age appropriate) real-life lessons. A Little Bit About Me...

All children can learn if properly motivated. I use a modified socratic method of teaching, engaging the child in a dialogue about the subject matter. We explore together using books and the internet to find answers. All of my students improved in their school work in a dramatic fashion. Some saw their grades jump as much as 60%.
After 33 years of trial law, I decided to teach full time. I have taught various classes off and on since 1972. I have tutored students for the last two years, including 15 middle school english and math students this last year in Hernando County. I also helped these students with science, geography, and social sciences. I now live in Tampa.
