Teaching Style: I use many techniques to teach. I first teach according to learning style. This has been EXTREMELY beneficial in my experience and I have seen great results. I like to bring worksheets and activities to keep the lessons interesting. I also prefer to assign homework, creative writing prompts, and spelling quizzes to improve writing composition and reading comprehension. I tutored my high school peers informally (without pay) as the President of the English Club at Guthrie Public High School, but I have recently started tutoring middle grade children as well as high school students. I scored a 31 on my ACT, was awarded the Smithsonian English Award, and I am currently enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma as a Creative Writing major. My tutoring subjects include English, Reading, Writing Skills, and Study Skills for middle grade children. I also tutor for high school students and college students who need help writing essays, research papers, or preparing for the English and Reading sections of the ACT.

I believe the best teaching style is to pay attention to the needs of the student and work diligently with them to reduce frustration they may be feeling. I am here to help that is my main goal and concern is that the child strengthens their reading abilities. Love working with children to help enhance their reading ability. I have worked through various reading tutor programs such as Freedom School and One on One Learning. I enjoyed every minute of it!
