Experience Summary
I tutored my high school peers informally (without pay) as the President of the English Club at Guthrie Public High School, but I have recently started tutoring middle grade children as well as high school students.
I scored a 31 on my ACT, was awarded the Smithsonian English Award, and I am currently enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma as a Creative Writing major.
My tutoring subjects include English, Reading, Writing Skills, and Study Skills for middle grade children. I also tutor for high school students and college students who need help writing essays, research papers, or preparing for the English and Reading sections of the ACT.
Teaching Style
I like to bring worksheets and activities to keep the lessons interesting. I also prefer to assign homework, creative writing prompts, and spelling quizzes to improve writing composition and reading comprehension.
