My comments on tutoring Portuguese : Brazilian Portuguese
Normally I start my lessons with phonetics. I think this is the basis of learning Portuguese and it will give you confidence to keep on learning. Then I will introduce reading (you will be amazed how phonetics can help you with this!), grammar, vocabulary and conversation. Of course, I can add any other subject such as vocabulary for business, knowledge of the culture, customs, etc.
