I have worked a number of years in Early Childhood, Elementary level of Education, Middle School, and Special Education. I have also worked with children from the age of 6 weeks to 18 years old. I have worked as both a worked as a Para-educator and a teacher in a classroom with students with behavioral disorders. I taught 6th grade math and science 2007-2008, 2008-2009 school years, I taught 5th grade.I have both a CO. Teaching License and a CA Teaching License. Both are multiple subject credentials. I generally use the Socratic method of teaching. It has a tendency to require the student to get involved in the learning process. it goes back to the theory that if you provide them a fish you eat for the day, teach them to fish and they eat forever. Although, if this is not successful, I have learned that students can learn, but some in different ways. I am available to help your child find academic success.
