Teaching has been my last career change. My prior experience has been in the field of manufacturing, maintenance engineering services and construction management. I always wanted to become a math teacher, but in order to become one in a communist regime; you had to be a member in the Romanian Communist Party. So, I obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineer (172 credit hours). I was working as a designer in Romania and had in parallel a private math and physics tutoring business. At NEIU I finished a lot of credits hours toward my second BA in Secondary Education Mathematics. Meanwhile, I found a job as a Mechanical Engineer at Mercury Products. As a homeschooler from fifth grade through high school, I learned the value of personalized instruction.
