My language learning career began in middle school when I chose to study Spanish. having enjoyed the language so much, I continued all throughout high school and eventually chose to continue my Spanish learning in college. I continued that work for my sophomore and junior years. During my time in college, I was fortunate enough to have the ability to study abroad for a semester in Granada, Spain. A Little Bit About Me...

Again, I have learned that all children learn differently and one approach does not work for all. I have several tried and true techniques to guide my son in the learning (in mainly reading and comprehension) and not only help him learn, but to make it an enjoyable experience. I am very patient and nurturing and work very well with children at the elementary level. I can switch gears on a dime if plan A is not working. I try to make games out of learning if possible so that the child does not lose interest and 'shut down' as my son sometimes did.

I started my career at Fairfield University as a Biology student and quickly learned that it was an exciting and very challenging field. I hated science and math when I was in junior high and high school. When I asked my teachers questions, they didn't give me the answers I was looking for. Luckily, I got into a great university and found out, after taking a few core classes, that I actually love science. Once I really understood some of the key concepts, I found it to be fun and interesting.
