Teaching comes naturally to me in that I love to work with people (i.e. my professional career) and I love to encourage and inspire others to advance their lives through education. I create a comfortable atmosphere for students so that their stress level is reduced and they are able to focus on learning. At the same time, I make lessons fun yet serious. My teaching style revolves around making my learners, whether young or old, feel good about themselves and the process of learning. I understand that each learner is unique and that one size does not fit all. I am especially interested in building, as much as possible, a positive rapport between the learner and myself. A Little Bit About Me...

I have wanted to teach since I was in second grade, and am currently working toward my license in Massachusetts. I believe that knowledge is an intimate thing, and that learning should be fun, and confidence-building. I use eliciting techniques, bringing student knowledge to the table first, and then build upon it. Knowing a student is important for preparing relevant materials for class. I believe technology is an important tool that can enhance the learning process when implemented appropriately.
