My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : I am a classroom certified teacher and also been tutoring in this area for over 5 years.

I try to narrow down my students's areas of strength and focus on areas that need more practice. My approach is open but effective.

Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects! I have been a teacher for 27 years and have a masters degree in reading. I am a reading specialist and currently provide remediation for grades 2-4 at an elementary campus.

I taught third grade for 15 years in Galena Park ISD. I became a content mastery teacher for 2 years. I then taught art for 2 years. I received my masters in reading and became a reading specialst. I have been a reading specialist now for 8 years and I am currently employed by Schertz Cibolo University City ISD.
My style is varied depending on the needs of the student, however, I mostly use tactile/kinesthetic styles with the use of visuals and manipulatives.
