While living in Japan, I taught English to the Japanese nationals and was a teacher's aide in the Department of Defense Dependent's Schools in the special needs department. I worked directly with middle school children who had ADD, ADHD as well as other physical handicaps including Cerebral Palsy. It is important for all children to have an equal opportunity to learn. This means that I must teach in various styles or to multiple intelligences so that each student is able to understand materials taught. In the appropriate environment and with appropriate materials, it is possible that each child can be a success, given that the teacher understands that not all students learn in the same manner.
With degrees from one of the nations top universities, I have many experiences working with students.
