In my experience as a musician, I have found that teaching a subject I love can really inspire students to excel. It's necessary to spread our knowledge to others. My specialty is music, but I love to teach in general because kids need good mentors. Each child is different so I use an individualized approach to my teaching styles. We all learn differently whether we are auditory, visual, or kinesthetic learners. I asses the student and provide the material/exercises necessary in order to create the best learning experience possible. I have been teaching guitar lessons for a year now. I am a recent college graduate from George Fox University. While attending G.F.U I had the opportunity to work for C.S. Lewis Elementary school in Newberg, Oregon as their Physical Education teacher. I loved working with children, and making my own lesson plans. The school allowed myself to work on my own lesson plans, and teach the children not only fitness but valuable exercise, and nutritional facts.
