My teaching style adapts to the students current level of knowledge. I always model 2 or 3 problems step by step before asking the student to try a problem. A student is comfortable knowing that I have "their backs" and won't let them be frustrated for long. This gives a student confidence to try problems on their own.
I taught in two public high schools in Orange and Osceola Counties in the Central Florida area for 5 years where I earned the Professional Educators Certificate to teach mathematics 6 - 12. For the past 10 years, I have been teaching at a Huntington Learning Center while privately tutoring students from the area middle, high school, and community colleges.

I have been a well respected teacher in the state of Maine for 18 years. My BS is in education.My MS in business. Also, over 100 hours from other shchols including Algebra, trig, chemistry and physics. Ten years helping adults pass the GED in Jefferson CIty, Missouri, Also taught American history there for two summers. Some substitute teaching over a dozen years. Four years nine months experirnce teaching felons to pass the GED in a level five correctional facility, part time, after working an eight hour shift in a chemical lad. Have vo;unteered in alternative schol in Brevard county.
Socratic method involvig the students in the lecture and learning process. Adult education is done mostly one on one. Even at the prison I moved about the room working with students and keeping them on task.

I have been teaching in the homeschool community for about 10 years. I have learn many skills on how to handle different classroom situations. I tautht cross county, physical education, critical thinking skills, sewing, and all the other core courses. I volunteered in a local private school to assist when they would need me. As of this October I started teaching at a local tutoring center. Currently, I am teaching on a "on call basis" at a local college.
