A Little Bit About Me...

More than a teacher student method, I would like to have an interactive mode of teaching. At the end of the session, the student should get a hold of basic concepts which will enable him or her to tackle any problems.
For my undergraduate studies in India, I chose Electronics and Communication as my specialisation. My areas of interests during my undergraduate degree includes Digital Signal Processing, Digital Communication and Embedded programming. I have always been keen on programming. I have done 2 projects (major and minor ) while in college. I started tutoring in 7th grade back in 1976. I have been tutoring my own kids for over 14 years. I have been a Scout leader for over 9 years. I worked with boys ages 5 to 18 years of age. I have brought 2 learning disabled teens into my home to help them graduate High School. Both have gone on to be Certified Welders. During my undergraduate at Marquette University, I worked as a teaching assistant for General Anatomy and Advanced Anatomy. I not only taught the students, but tutored them privately as well. I was also a tutor for physiology at Marquette. Both of these experiences have strengthened my ability to relay knowledge to another person, as well as solidify my science knowledge. I now work at Owens community college teaching Anatomy and Physiology. I have extensive basic and advanced science knowledge and truly enjoy teaching.
