Working with children is what I am passionate about and to help them understand something or get a boost in areas needed would make me happy as well as you, knowing your child is now understanding the task at hand.

I hold a wide variety of experience in both education and industry. I earned degrees in Broadcasting and Speech/Communications. With these, I worked in public relations, advertising, community college teaching and broadcasting. I was a teacher of Speech/Communications at McCook Community College in McCook Nebraska where I taught Speech and Broadcasting. I served on the Executive Council of the Nebraska Speech Communications Association six years. Currently I am the owner of a small vegetable and cattle farm.
My preferred teaching style is discussion with leadership. When the student can relate to the information through own experience or peer experience the information is better absorbed. During my Junior year of high school I began to works as an Associate/Substitute preschool teacher for the Park Hill School District in Parkville, MO. I continued my work through their program during my breaks from being a student in college. On breaks, I was able to work approximately 40hrs/weeks. In spring 2008 I completed an internship in a 7th grade classroom for 4 months. In fall 2008 I completed an internship in an 8th grade classroom for 4 months. Also, in spring 2009 I am currently completing my semester of student teaching in an 8th grade classroom at Warrensburg Middle School in Warrensburg, MO.
