In 2006 I taught graphic design topics at Westwood College. In 2007 I taught the same subject at The Creative Circus (roughly equivalent to an MBA program for designers, writers, photographers, and art directors). I first like to explain the tangible concept to students, citing real-world examples. Next, it is appropriate to transition to explaining the details of the concept/equation at hand.
