In 2006 I taught graphic design topics at Westwood College. In 2007 I taught the same subject at The Creative Circus (roughly equivalent to an MBA program for designers, writers, photographers, and art directors). In 2008 I taught in the design department for Georgia State University. This summer I traveled to a remote region in India to teach English. I have taught GRE prep for the past 3 years, covering the verbal, quantitative (math), and analytical writing (essay) areas. As a test prep teacher, I have a close knowledge of students' approach to graduate school, and the process of improving their chances of acceptance to schools of choice. I am academically qualified and more especially interested in teaching humanities courses. The method of teaching I prefer is maieutic, i.e., one which draws knowledge from the student, rather than attempts to place it in him/her from without.

As a member of a musical family, I grew up w/ a profound passion for creating & understanding music. My first instrument of choice was playing the drums, I started playing when I was 12 years old. Taking lessons from the famed Wilco drummer, Glen Kotche & getting involved with the school Jazz program were highlights from my high school days. I went on to attend the University of Tennessee graduating in 2001 with a bachelor of science degree, majoring in Horticulture Science with a minor in Business.
