A Little Bit About Me...

I started my education with business management and accounting. As I got further in to my coursework, I realized there was more to business than balancing the checkbook and counting inventory. I started to learn about preparing taxes midway through college and realized that not only did like doing taxes, I also enjoyed helping people. As my knowledge of taxation, from the federal down to municipal level, increased I found myself in a position teaching others to become tax preparers. I enjoyed that experience so much because teaching the topics helped me to understand them better myself. In an endeavor to continually expand my own knowledge, I would like to pursue other teaching and tutoring opportunities.

I have earned a Bachelor’s in Biology from West Texas A&M University and a Minor in Chemistry and Animal Science. I was home schooled through grade school, and I had to opportunity to help my younger brothers with their studies at home as well. Because my mom was a high school English teacher while I was home schooled, I am strongly educated in English and have had experience writing all types of papers. I am a passionate, driven, ambitious learner and teacher. I graduated Valedictorian of my High School with a 4.0 GPA and Summa Cum Laude from College with 191 credits and a GPA of 3.92. I completed a double major and the Honors Program as well as two semesters studying abroad in 5 years of undergraduate study.
