Columbus Public Schools 1987-1997: During this time period, I taught at the high school, middle school, and elementary level. I then left formal education to stay home with my children. After receiving my degree in English Literature, I became a teacher's aide at a small Montessori school in Springfield, Ohio. I taught my students reading for concepts and spelling in a small group setting, never more than four at a time.
