When teaching I like to base the curriculum off of interests of the child so they can understand on a personal level, and also be excited to learn and relate what they learn to the things that they enjoy. I do not personally own any curriculum or books.
I am 17 years old and I love working with and teaching kids. I have experience with teaching a bible group for second graders at my church, and I know how to get your child excited about the many things they can accomplish by learning. I am a senior in high school and have a GPA of 3.7. I have taken AP classes and 4 years of Spanish. My best academic subjects are math, science, and reading. I have always had a passion for learning, and helping others learn. In middle school, High School and College, other students came to me for help with assignments. Knowing what it is like to be a student, I try to see from the students point of view. Each student teaches me their own way to learn. I enjoy learning and hope that I can share that joy with others.
My degree in Engineering has given me plenty of experience in math and science. I have also had graduate courses in Physics and Engineering. As a graduate student at UNT, I instructed several physics and astronomy labs and learned first hand what teaching can be like.
