Early in my career I worked with adults that were mentally and physically challenged. I found this very rewarding and decided to pursue a degree in education, which lead me on my journey into the world of Special Education. I have done extensive private tutoring for the past 20 years. For 17 years I worked as an elementary special education classroom teacher at New York Hospital in an out-patient day treatment program. This program involved elementary school age children who displayed severe emotional and academic difficulties and were unable to function in a regular school setting.
