I have been a substitute teacher for the past two years covering all grade levels from pre-k three up to senior year in high school. I am a Master's Degree candidate in Elementary Education at Wilmington University. I enjoy students at every level and am amazed at what a difference a year makes in their development. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always wanted to teach. When I was a child I would round up the kids in my neighborhood and make them do lessons that I created. I do remember they did not like that. I went to college and earned a BS in Biology always knowing that I would eventually teach the sciences. I was an excellent student and have always found pride in myself on my ability to communicate with clearity. I have one year of tutoring experience at the k-12 level. After experiencing all types of teachers and professors over the course of my education, I've learned that a teacher can only leave a lasting and significant impression on a student by getting that student excited about the subject being spoken. I have learned from my best teachers that patience and being aware of how each individual student understands the subject matter are virtues.
