I am a very patient teacher. I try to work with students at different level. I encourage students to ask questions. I answer questions from students with examples. I encourage students to speak as much as possible. Here are my thoughts about how to teach Chinese. Try to make learning fun. Try to encourage students to think. Try to show enthusiasm teaching students. Students will feel compelled to learn harder. Try to expose students to Chinese environment. Take students to Chinese shows, Chinese markets, Chinese restaurants. Try to communicate to students what work best for them. Applaud students at all times and appraise their efforts.

As a life long athlete, I understand the importance of a team. Parents, tutors, and children must work together to succeed. I also realize the importance of strategy; each team has a different method to achieve their goal. Be it verbal, visual, audial, physical, there are multitudes of different ways to have success inside and outside of the classroom. My personal success would be to teach the children HOW to study through tutoring, a strategy they could take with them throughout their academic and professional careers.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with children and adults, and I have taught all types of students from very different backgrounds. I understand that each person has a different way of learning and understanding. It is important to teach each individual in the way she or he best receives the material. I attribute much of my success in teaching with the fact that I make learning fun and interesting rather a burden. I find that students learn better when they are at ease and when they enjoy what they are learning. Education is very important to me. It is rewarding each time I can see I have made a difference.
